WE The Orkestra have launched many things. Last September, the “Trinity Belle’ was sent on her merry way up the Firth of Forth to the maritime melody of the ‘Marriage Polka’. In February this year the Orkestra was the cultural experience that launched the Chaoyang Spring Carnival in Beijing. In 2005 Sincero Minimo’s ego was officially unveiled with his rendition of Maki Maki at the Galashiels Balkan Music Awards. These have been some of the launches we have ever played.
So, Ladies and Gentlemen, you can understand how your friends in Orkestra Del Sol have felt the burden of responsibility in deciding how to launch our BRAND NEW CD “The Moveable Feast”. How to do you proud, our loyal fans,.. How to really do it for our friends. How to pull it off with you Ladies and Gentlemen.
Set Menu, £10 / £7. Sitting down is an option, but it may prove difficult.
STARTER: the Den Collective. Ladies and Gentlemen, these 8 denizens of Edinburgh Afro Mafia will be lifting your spirits with Afro Beat, Fela Beat, Root Beat, Feet Beat, Beet Root and Beet Beat.
MAIN COURSE: Orkestra Del Sol of course! This main course is for you, our beloved UK Fan Base, it will be a musical spectasticle of laughter, deliria, rapture and surprise as your very own Orkestra Del Sol plays for you a staggering array of new, original and yet-to-be-tested-on-the-general-public brass bombshells from our new CD ‘THE MOVEABLE FEAST’.
DESSERT: buy a copy of the new CD, and take your exuberance to the Caves, for free! Stay up late and be merry alongside the Orkestra, and DJ Mungbean. Meet the Ladies and Gentlemen that you didn’t get to talk to earlier because you were dancing too much. Results!
And finally, head to your home, put the CD in the machine and re-live once again that happy evening until you once again next catch those mavericks of brass and groove….
